The YMKL Foundation exists to address a deeper imbalance in fashion. In many brands, the people who create garments are often the least connected to the long-term success of the brand.
Why it exists
Purpose
The Foundation was established to support community-based garment manufacturing in South Africa, with a focus on economic development, training, mentorship, and opportunities for women, youth, and historically disadvantaged individuals.
How it works
Structure
20% of Yamakele Pty Ltd net profit after tax is allocated to the YMKL Foundation. The intention is to create a model where success reaches further than the finished product.
